Good Day to Rest and Build Strength
Heather is doing really well today. She again had a good night and slept well. They took her off the ventilator and let her breathe on her own (with oxygen supplementation) for about thirty minutes this morning and will do it again this afternoon. She did okay without the ventilator, but it does tire her out. She has been coughing up a lot of phlegm and gunk, which is good except that she has so much of it. The respiratory therapist was unsure why she had so much. They will watch for possible pneumonia, though that doesn't seem likely at present. All-in-all she seems to be doing really well.

Dear Mark and Heather, We could never say that "You are lucky to be alive", but we sure are glad that you are. "Lucky" emplies too much good fortune. We continue to pray for you every day and as friends look foreward to seeing your smiling face. Aimee has had a hard time thinking about your suffering because her father died from a perforated intestine within hours of the incident. We know, from past experience, that God must have great things for you to accomplish. I'm sure you have plenty of help with home and Hannah but we would feel it an honor to help in any way possible. Love, Justin and Aimee (423-3071)
Thank you Mark for info and pics!! I try to not let my life revolve around getting up at 5:30 in the morning to read Heathers progress, but it is important to me and I am amazed at how strong she is!! I love you Heather!! A note to Heidi Z., thanks for the talk.........my house didn't catch on fire, but my cooking sometimes sets the oven on FIRE!!! Love and prayers to you Heather!!!! Heidi
