Lots of Walking

Heather has been working hard in physical and occupational therapy. They had her down in their therapy area doing laps around the room. She was quite stiff last night after her workout, but in a good way. The occupational therapist worked with her on learning how to bathe and do other household tasks, in preparation for going home. She will definitely have to take it easy for quite a while, but she is getting stronger daily.

They decided not to take the wound vac off just yet. She will have it on at least for a few more days. I'm still not sure whether they will suture/staple the wound or just let it heal on its own. We'll see.

We are so glad to hear that Heather is doing so much better. We have been praying for you, but I admit that I forgot to when Sam and I were praying the other day. When I finished my prayer Sam said, "You forgot something. You didn't pray for Hannah's Mom." We just want you to know that even Hannah's friends are praying for you. We hope Hannah can come spend some time playing with Sam anytime you need some help.

Such good news to hear that you're getting stronger and improving so quickly in the last week. We think about both of you often and the experience you're having. We're grateful that you'll be together at home soon. That will be another phase to work through, but we will be here to help you.

"I'll Be Home for Christmas" may take on more meaning this year! We continue to think of you, and pray for you. We have a Gingerbread House for your family to enjoy from the Wolf Den! We are here to help and support you in the coming weeks--for as long as it takes!
